Installation of OFC Network
We have undertaken projects like laying HDPE ducts (number of ducts as per contract document/work order) followed by blowing, splicing, termination and acceptance testing of OFC (number and type of OFC to be blown in to ducts shall be as defined in contract document/work order) and construction and installation of associated facilities such as man-holes/hand-holes etc. Along duly approved OFC route as per company issued /approved for construction drawing.
The contractor shall provide all skilled/unskilled manpower and equipment required for trenching and backfilling, duct laying, crossing (HDD machine, boring equipment, drilling equipment, etc…), OFC blowing, OFC jointing (splicing machine), testing equipment (OTDR,light source and power meter equipments) or any other equipment that may be required to complete the works including supply of all consumables as required to operate the equipment.
OFC Laying Works
Trenching (where the installation is approved to be by open trenching) in all kinds of strata to the required depth and dressing up the trench bottom, including soft padding where required by sand / soft material as per approved trenching and backfilling drawings.
Installation of specified number of HDPE ducts for blowing of OFC (including joining duct using special connectors or duct couplers of company approved make and model) by either open trenching (as above) or by using trenchless technique such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) or Aerial depending upon terms of permissions/approvals from concerned authorities. As a rule intra-city duct laying shall be by trenchless method (i.e. by HDD) and inter-city duct laying shall be by open trenching method unless specially approved otherwise by company/authorities.
Backfilling of trenches/pits made for HDD after laying ducts and warning tape (only in case of open trenching) and restoration of the area as per requirements and to the entire satisfaction of the authorities having jurisdiction.
O&M of OFC Network
We shall be responsible for OFC operational and maintenance (O&M) work (as per contract document/work order) followed by blowing, splicing, termination, monthly OTDR reports, cable and Manhole health check-up, any emergency work in OFC route for downtime.
We provide all skilled/unskilled manpower and equipment required for O&M work. OFC blowing, OFC jointing (splicing machine), testing equipment (OTDR, light source, and power meter equipment) or any other equipment that may be required to complete the works including the supply of all consumables as required to operate the equipment.
